Amy helps security and risk professionals transform their current software and application security practices to support continuous delivery and improvement, focusing on strong partnerships with application development, operations, and business teams. Her research covers topics such as proactive security design, security testing in the software delivery life cycle, protection of applications in production environments, and remediation of hardware and software flaws.
Fredrik Klingenberg is a Computer Scientist from Norway, with a masters degree from the University of Oslo and Macquarie University Australia.
He is currently a principal software engineer at Aurum, working as a consultant. He has more than 10 years of experience developing enterprise applications. Both for the public and private sector in NorwayIan is an engineer at Google and contributor to the gVisor project. Ian has had various developer and operations roles throughout his career and enjoys working in environments with diverse ways of thinking. Ian has been living in Tokyo since 2006 and is active in the open-source developer community. He is passionate about Security, DevOps, SRE, Go, and container orchestration. When he's not working on container security projects, he runs the Kubernetes Meetup in Tokyo and blogs about Kubernetes and containers at www.ianlewis.org.
Lachlan is a Principal Program Manager on the Container Compute team at Azure. He has spent the last few years working with Kubernetes and enabling Cloud Native journeys. Lachie serves as a Cloud Native ambassador and a CNCF TOC contributor, and has deep operational knowledge of many Cloud Native projects.
Liran is the Co-Founder and CTO of Rookout, the data collection and pipelining company. He’s an advocate of modern software methodologies like agile, lean and devops. Liran’s passion is to understand how software actually works. When he's not thinking of code, he's usually diving or hiking.
Liz Rice is the Technology Evangelist with container security specialists Aqua Security, where she also works on container-related open source projects including kube-hunter, kube-benchand manifesto. She was Co-Chair of the CNCF’s KubeCon + CloudNativeCon 2018 events in Copenhagen, Shanghai and Seattle.
She has a wealth of software development, team, and product management experience from working on network protocols and distributed systems, and in digital technology sectors such as VOD, music, and VoIP. When not writing code, or talking about it, Liz loves riding bikes in places with better weather than her native London, and competing in virtual races on Zwift.
Nick Smith is a technology strategist at Thales Cloud, Protection and Licensing. Nick has spent the better part of a decade wrangling with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) and complex software solutions in the crypto domain including cloud-based key management problems. He is a current active contributor to the open source istio security working group and an avid Golang programmer. Nick has previously spoken at BSides and DevSecCon London on security matters including crypto APIs and patterns for securing microservices. Nick has obtained both a first class bachelor’s (BSc) and a Master of Research (MRes) degree in the field of computer science.
Nicolas Byl gained his first hands-on experiences at developing distributed systems during his studies in medical informatics. When he’s not building cloud-native infrastructures for application development, he’s teaching codecentric AG customers about kubernetes and the benefits of DevOps.
Sarah is an Azure Cloud Security and Compliance Global Black Belt working for Microsoft and is based in Melbourne. She has over a decade of experience in tech and is particularly interested in cloud security, container and orchestrator security and good old fashioned networking and infrastructure security (having previously worked as a network engineer in a previous life). Sarah specialises in helping customers understand how they can successfully move to the cloud whilst maintaining - and even improving - their security posture. Sarah has spoken around the world at a variety of infosec conferences about a range of security and technical topics.
